Standard Service Details

Gear and brake service and a full bike safety check. This sort of servicing is provided for new bikes that don’t need much attention or bikes that have been sitting the garage for along time. We will also notify the customer about any major problems. Recommended for the pre race check or the kids bikes that just need a basic check before the weekends ride.

(any extra work to be done will require an upgrade to the Silver service)

  • Gears and brakes adjusted
  • Check over of bike for safety
  • Inflate tires to correct pressures
  • Lube chain
  • Test ride.

Gear and brake service and a full bike safety check plus our Top Gear bike spa. What we do is drop both wheels out of the frame, take the chain off and degrease it. Using degreaser to clean the main part of the bike we would then polish up both the frame and the wheels. Once everything is clean we put it all back together checking all parts as we go , tuning gears and brake adjustments as needed. This service includes minor wheel trues. Recommended 1 to 2 times per year depending on how much you ride.

  • Clean, lube and adjust derailleurs
  • Clean and lubricate the chain
  • Lube brake and gear cables
  • Adjust brakes and gears
  • Wheel true in the bicycle
  • Frame wipe down, clean dirt away from bearings
  • Tighten mudguards, racks, lights, general fittings etc
  • Inflate tyres
  • Test Ride

This service includes the same things as mentioned in the last two services but the big difference here is we get a bit more personal. The next step we take from the Silver service is to remove the cranks and the bottom bracket from the bike and checking for wear and tear. Everything is degreased from top to bottom, even the front and rear derailleur. Both wheels are trued so that they run smooth through the brakes. After we have polished the bike and parts we now re-grease the bottom bracket, the dropout, seat post, pedals and the headset bearings. This sort of service is for most high-end road and mtb bikes, but really anyone who’s looking for a complete bike service this one’s for you. Recommended at least once per year for the regular rider, but a commute rider should get this done before and after winter.

  • Detail the frame
  • Wheels taken out and check wheel alignment
  • True minor buckles
  • Check chain and cassette wear
  • Degrease chain, cassette and cranks
  • Overhaul the bottom bracket.

  • Adjustment of front and rear brakes (re-face brace pads if needed)
  • Check cabled for kinks and frayed ends
  • Inflate tires to recommended pressure
  • Re grease sealed headset systems
  • Check bolts on stem cranks and seat post
